i have found an old butterfly box and wish to create into something to do with the cycle of life - referring to darwins theory of evolution of species . i am planning to make a box of curiosities , a story if you will of how this develops, by collecting items and oddments that refer to this

during my stay in the welsh countryside i decided to make a maquette out of paper and left it out in the elements to see how the process of decay effected the structure of the material and to see how it blended into the landscape. i wanted to see what effect the landscape had on a man made material of little strength.
